Flomax Directions
Your doctor will give you directions on how to take Flomax – make sure that you follow these directions to the letter to ensure correct dosage. If the medicine comes with a leaflet for dosage requirements, read through the instructions carefully before use. If you have any questions or you are unsure, ask your doctor first. The Flomax tablet is swallowed whole, and should not be broken, crushed or chewed before swallowing. Take the tablet at the same time every day, after a meal – if you take it after breakfast for instance, you will need to take it every day after breakfast. Once you buy Flomax online, you will need to keep it at room temperature in a tightly-sealed container, away from heat and direct sunlight. If by some chance you miss your dose, you can take it later in the day instead. Never take two doses at once however, and never take double doses if you missed your tablet the previous day.
Flomax Cautions
Patients are advised to not buy Flomax if they have previously had any allergic reaction to this drug, or if they have known allergies to any ingredient in the medication. Patients who have had severe allergic reaction to a sulfa drug or sulfonamide medicine including sulfasalazine or sulfamethoxazole should also avoid this drug. Worst reported allergy symptoms include severe rash, hives, breathing difficulties or dizziness. To find out of you are allergic to this medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Seek medical help if you have reactions including difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; hives; rash; or swelling of eyelids, face or lips. This medication should never be taken without prescription or orders from your doctor, and you should have regular check-ups with your doctor for the duration of your treatment. Patients who plan to undergo medical or dental treatments, emergency care or surgery should tell their medical specialist that they are being treated with Flomax. Additional milder symptoms include drowsiness, dizziness, light-headedness, fainting plus moments of blurred vision – do not drive or operate machinery if you experience even a mild reaction to Flomax and do not mix with other medicine or alcohol. Things like hot weather, exercise, and fever can increase mild side effects so always sit or stand up slowly and lie down if you feel weak. For the first 12 hours after your initial dose of this medicine, and if your dose has recently been increased, make sure that you do not drive or do anything strenuous. In some patients, Flomax may cause a prolonged, painful erection, which could happen even with no sexual activity. This could lead to sexual problems such as impotence if not treated, so patients should get help as soon as they develop this reaction. Patients starting any treatment (prescription or over-the-counter) should always check with a doctor or pharmacist before starting Flomax treatment. Female patients who are expecting babies, or plan to become pregnant should avoid Flomax, as it is not known if the drug causes harm to unborn children, or if it is released in breast milk or not.
